Check-up for the small intestine and stomach organs
Small intestine
An examination of the small intestine using magnetic resonance tomography (MRT) serves to detect and clarify inflammatory changes and tumors. There is no radiation exposure during the examination.
Stomach organs
Stomach organs such as the liver, bile duct, and pancreas can be examined extremely well with magnetic resonance imaging. For instance, if the physician suspects the patient has gallstones or there is a narrowing in the patient's bile duct or pancreatic duct, these ailments can be detected and precisely located – without using contrast agents.
